Vodafone teams up with CityFibre to offer gigabit broadband

The rollout of gigabit-capable full fibre broadband is due to begin in early 2018, with the first phase seeing the technology being deployed to one million homes and businesses over three years. CityFibre's new fibre-optic lines will be faster and more reliable, offering speeds up 1 gigabit per second, more than 10 times faster than Vodafone's current theoretical maximum of 76 megabits per second on the Openreach network.
