Andy Carroll's last-gasp equaliser spared Joe Hart's blushes after the West Ham goalkeeper made a costly blunder in Monday's dramatic 1-1 draw against Stoke.
Hart spilled a shot from Xherdan Shaqiri that came in from the top of the box, while the veteran Englishman was properly positioned to make West Ham pay for the error. In his first game back, he made a mistake for a goal in a 3-0 loss at Burnley on March 10, and this one against Stoke was nearly an exact replica as he fumbled a shot in front of him by Xherdan Shaqiri.
But Carroll came off the bench to rescue West Ham with a superb volley in the 90th minute.

Rana slog-swept Rahul Tewatia for a six to get started, and his 35-ball 59 became the fulcrum around which the innings revolved. In the previous match, Robin Uthappa was replaced by Sunil Narayan as an opener, and Narayan was played at third on order.
"It is a blow because we were so close to winning". I thought we were excellent.
Jack Butland starts in goal, and will see Kurt Zouma, Ryan Shawcross, Bruno Martins Indi and Erik Pieters form the defence in front of him this evening. "A win on Sunday would really set the cat among the pigeons".
Although Hart was relieved his howler didn't cost West Ham all three points, his mistake did little to boost his chances of starting for England in the World Cup.
Carroll's third goal of the season - in his first appearance since January - was a priceless contribution for West Ham, who are now seven points above the bottom three.
TV presenter Ant McPartlin fined £86k after pleading guilty to drink driving
He added that he was thankful "no-one had been hurt" in the three-car crash, which occurred in Richmond, London, on 18th March. He knows it is right that he's here and he hopes that which has led him here will eventually help him.
Chances were far and few in the opening stanza, however, Stoke keeper Jack Butland made a massive stop in the first half on Marko Arnautovic when the ball struck the face of the England global.
Juventus were irate and Oliver and his wife, who is also a referee, were subsequently sent threats.
"We had a few chances, goals disallowed, but for us, it's a good result". On the first occasion Marko Arnautovic was offside when he headed home - and then he was interfering with play from Edimilson Fernandes' shot. I thought Javier Hernandez and Manuel Lanzini helped, all the players have played well.
