A Joint Investigation Team would be looking into the incident related to the firing at the Model Town Lahore residence of Supreme Court judge Ijazul Ahsan.
On Sunday, gunshots were fired at the house of Justice Ahsan twice within the span of a few hours.
A bullet hit the gate of the house, the report reads. There were no reports of anyone receiving injuries as a result of the firing.
As the news of the firing made headlines, Chief Justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar while taking cognizance of the incident reached the residence of the apex court judge.
Later on, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also released a condemnation message and directed for the early arrest of those responsible.
