Pentagon: Syria Airstrikes Were 'Very Successful'

Following the late-Friday airstrikes in Syria, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his support for the operation. President Trump's resolve and Israel's support remain unchanged.

In a written statement, Netanyahu said the decision taken by the USA and backed by the United Kingdom and France shows that the commitment of these countries to combat chemical weapons is not limited to the declaration.

Netanyahu said Syrian president Bashar al-Assad must understand that "his provision of a forward base for Iran and its proxies endangers Syria". Israel has not commented on the attack.

More than 100 missiles were launched at approximately 4 am local time, fired from both warships in the eastern Mediterranean, and fighter jets who approached from Saudi Arabian and Jordanian air space.
