Among the "prior bad acts" witnesses was TV star and supermodel Janice Dickinson, who testified Thursday that she confronted Cosby and wanted to strike him after she said he drugged her and raped her in 1982 at a hotel in Lake Tahoe.
Janice Baker-Kinney will return to the witness stand on Thursday after punctuating her first two hours of testimony at Cosby's sexual assault retrial in suburban Philadelphia with a firm declaration: "I was raped". She told Cosby she was having menstrual cramps. "He smelled like cigar and espresso and his body odor", she described. She said that while she was sitting on Bed, Cosby changed into a patchwork bathrobe and immediately climbed upon her. The relationship progressed from Constand giving him sports scores to the entertainer giving her advice on a career in broadcasting, she said.
"I didn't fly to Tahoe to have sex with Mr. Cosby", Dickinson said.
Cosby made a couple of flirtatious passes at her during dinners at his house outside Philadelphia, including putting his hand on her leg. "Today I am on a sworn Bible". All but Constand's case were too old to be prosecuted, and Cosby's first trial ended in a mistrial last June due to a deadlocked jury. His first trial ended a year ago in a mistrial after a Pennsylvania jury couldn't come to a unanimous decision. And I didn't feel insane at that moment standing up for myself saying 'that's not cool. I said, 'What are they?
"There's no way I could have been drugged all the time and be on covers of Vogue all over the country, and walk in the runway shows that I did".
Cosby's lawyer Tom Mesereau, famous for getting Michael Jackson acquitted of child molestation, has dismissed the accusers as "prosecution by distraction" and claims they are money grabbing.
Russia: Syria chemical attack 'fabrication by foreign power'
Rebels and jihadist insurgents are largely contained to two areas on Syria's northern and southern borders. She also said that no country should use chemical weapons and go unpunished.
Cosby was arrested in December 2015 just as the 12-year statute of limitations in Constand's case was about to expire.
Dickinson said Cosby had clothes from the hotel boutique laid out in her room because the T-shirts, shorts and swimwear she had in Bali wouldn't cut it in snowy Tahoe.
"The next thing I recall is, um, I was kind of jolted awake, and felt Mr. Cosby on the couch beside me, behind me, and my vagina was being penetrated quite forcefully", Constand testified.
To attack Constand's credibility, Cosby's lawyers are expected to call a woman to the stand who claims she roomed with Constand on a Temple basketball trip. "Here was "America's Dad" on top of me, a happily married man with five kids, and how very, very wrong it was", Dickinson said.
Dickinson told jurors she wanted to include details about the assault, but wound up telling a highly sanitized version in which there was no sex at all, let alone a rape, because her publisher told her the legal department would never let the allegations against Cosby make it to print.
When Montgomery County prosecutors declined to prosecute Cosby over Constand's allegations in 2005, she accepted $3.4 million to settle a civil suit.
Meet Volkswagen group's CEO Herbert Diess
Volkswagen's "super-premium" group is to include sports auto brands Porsche, Bentley , Bugatti and very likely, Lamborghini . VW also announced that works council executive Gunnar Kilian would replace Karlheinz Blessing as human resources chief.
She trusted Cosby as a professional mentor, father figure and respected Temple trustee, she said. He put a pillow under her head and said, "Just relax there". "I can remember feeling anger, disgust, and ashamed". It took her a year to tell her mother what happened.
During her testimony, Cosby sat hunched over at the end of the defense table. Constand said she blacked out.
Now well into middle age, Dickinson, Baker-Kinney and the other two accusers who have testified so far told jurors they wound up unconscious from the pills or alcohol Cosby gave them, unable to say no or resist as he had his way with them.
Defense lawyer Thomas Mesereau began his cross-examination by focusing on a book ostensibly authored by Dickinson but actually ghost-written by Pablo Fenjves, who also penned O.J. Simpson's book, "If I Did It".
Cosby's defense attorneys have worked to point out inconsistencies in their stories.
NBA Playoffs: Breaking down the Spurs-Warriors series
For pretty much the NBA's entire history, there's been little reason to tune in for the playoffs until they got to the finals. Even without Curry, Golden State will still look to put up a lot of shots from beyond the arc and bury the Spurs in triples.
