The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ microcomputer promises more speed

You'll also find improved thermal management, according to the Raspberry Pi Foundation. Raspberry Pi 2 didn't get this treatment, of course, as it was superseded after only one year; but it feels like it's high time that Raspberry Pi 3 received the "plus" treatment. As a result, power consumption can be lower on the Model B+ for the same clock frequencies and voltages.

Building upon the phenomenal success of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B, which will remain in production, the new board is the latest product in the Raspberry Pi 3 range and targets a very wide range of users including students and enthusiasts, as well as experienced engineers and professionals who are developing innovative Internet of Things (IoT) applications.

Power over Ethernet (PoE) is supported, with an add-on planned that will allow the 5V needed to power the Pi to be slurped from the PoE supply.

Man United's Carrick to hang up his boots at end of season
The 36-year old has spent 12 years at United, during which he has won numerous trophies including the 2008 Champions League win over Chelsea.

The Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ is manufactured exclusively in the United Kingdom under licence by the Raspberry Pi Foundation.

Some of these issues have been resolved with the announcement of the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ which bumps up the CPU to a 1.4GHz 64-bit quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 and increases the ethernet speed to 300Mbps.

Improved Bluetooth. The Model B+ features the more up-to-date Bluetooth 4.2, compared to 4.0 on the Model B. It isn't simply overclocked, the updated BCM2837B0 "incorporates power integrity optimisations, and a heat spreader", explains the RasPi blog.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 launch in India today at 3 pm
The smartphone is likely successor to the company's Xiaomi Redmi 4 that launched in May 2017 at a starting price of Rs 6,999. The Redmi 5a Prime has a hybrid 32GB ROM and a 3GB RAM while its counterpart, the Redmi 5a houses 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM.

PXE boot support. The Model B+ is the first Raspberry Pi to support PXE Ethernet boot, meaning that it can find a boot image over a connected network instead of from local storage.

The Pi Foundation will continue to sell the previous Pi 3 model, the Model B, for $35 as well because certain industrial customers still require it. The Pi Foundation says it may upgrade the Raspberry Pi 1A+, presumably to a model B, sometime soon as well.

In short, the upgraded Pi promises more speed and power.

20 opposition parties attend Sonia Gandhi dinner
There have been clear indications from senior Opposition leaders that they still continue to hold Sonia as their go-to person. Congress party former chief Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday hosted dinner for leaders from the opposition parties.

Which reminds me. I'm past-due for the next installment in my Raspberry Pi/Amiga project.
