Obviously, the news has come as an upsetting incident for United fans, but won't be too anxious about a replacement for the 36-year-old with the current emergence of youngster Scott McTominay.

"I think it's pretty much already been said, to be honest with you", he replied when asked whether he was retiring.

The 36-year old has spent 12 years at United, during which he has won numerous trophies including the 2008 Champions League win over Chelsea.

However, after seeing his playing time get restricted to just four appearances this season, largely due to a heart condition, the 36-year-old Carrick has chose to call time on a glittering career.

Marcus Smart diagnosed with torn tendon
The Celtics will be without Irving, Marcus Smart , Daniel Theis and Jaylen Brown for the contest due to injury. Charania reports Smart will seek second opinions on his injury, so his timeline for recovery is undetermined.

Carrick underwent a routine procedure for an irregular heart rhythm this past fall, and thus hasn't been available most of the season.

"There comes a time when, as much as you like or don't like it, your body tells you it's time to stop playing football".

Jose Mourinho has made it clear that Carrick will be welcome to join his coaching set-up at Old Trafford and the player also added that something will be sorted out in due course.

He said that a move into coaching at United was "looking likely".

Google to Ban Ads for Cryptocurrency & Initial Coin Offering from June
Facebook (fb), Google's primary rival for ad dollars, banned ads for cryptocurrencies in January. Google has to come up with new policies, not just enforce the existing ones, Spencer said.

"It started in the Burton game and then happened again in training", Carrick said.

"But he's still got some way to go to fully establish himself as a big player for this club but so far he's on a great track, he's given himself the best possible chance to fulfil that. You can't live like you've had a career before you've had the career - you've got to earn it". "There were two or three times when I wondered whether it was worth still playing, but I soon got over that".

Carrick has played over seven hundred senior games at club level across spells with West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United with the majority of those outings coming for the latter.
