India Is Committed To Eliminating TB By 2025, Says PM

PRIME Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday set deadline of 2025 to free India from tuberculosis (TB), five years ahead of the global deadline set by World Health Organisation (WHO).

"It is nearly a Herculean task to eliminate TB by 2025 going by the current scenario". The PM's announcement today makes the advanced target for TB elimination official. He said the government was doing "massive work" to ensure that active TB cases are identified at the right time and the right medicines are given.
