The bracket for the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship was released Monday. After blowing a double-digit fourth-quarter lead to CT (32-0, 16-0 AAC) and losing 100-69 to Louisville, Notre Dame's chances of a top seed looked slim.
UConn, the only undefeated team in the tournament, earned the No. 1 overall seed as they seek their 12th national championship.
UConn, Notre Dame, Louisville and Mississippi State are the No. 1 seeds in the NCAA Women's Tournament. Second-seeded OR, playing much closer to home than any of the other top-four seeds, is led by the pick-and-roll duo of sophomore guard Sabrina Ionescu, who already holds the career mark for triple-doubles, and sophomore forward Ruthy Hebard, whose 32 consecutive shots made late in the regular season was an NCAA record and helped her to the second-highest field goal percentage in the nation this season. This might be one of coach Muffet McGraws finest accomplishments as Notre Dame lost four pivotal players to injury, but only three games on the season. That streak was snapped when they were defeated by SC, but that doesn't make what Mississippi State's women have done this year any less remarkable-and the seed reflects that.
The women's NCAA Tournament field of 64 teams has been revealed, meaning it's time to fill out those brackets. Notre Dame is another team to look at, as they came within single digits to CT when the teams played earlier in the season. The 2018 regional semifinals and finals will be held in Kansas City, Mo.; Lexington, Ky.; Albany; and Spokane, Wash.
This year's Final Four is set for Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and will get underway on March 30.
National Football League free agency primer: Vikings' No. 2 need is offensive line
Maybe Keenum's 2017 season was for real, but Elway shouldn't approach the rest of the offseason with that assumption. Keenum is now 30 years old, and was a mediocre-to-bad quarterback for his entire career, until last season .

Like the Huskies, the Irish are a No. 1 seed again.
Notre Dame (29-3) gets the top seed in Spokane, but would have to play what amounts to a road game in the regional final if No. 2 seeded OR makes it that far.
Notre Dame's three losses came to just two teams -UConn and Louisville.
The Irish will face CSU-Northridge out of the Big West Conference on Friday at 5 pm EST. OR is the 2-seed in Notre Dame's region, Ohio St is the 3-seed, Texas A&M the 4-seed and DePaul the 5-seed.
Mourinho savages 'worst manager' De Boer
His grasp of the figures was inaccurate in one respect - De Boer only actually lost four games before being sacked - and his response felt personal.
The Ducks potentially could stay out west and play in Spokane, where Graves spent many years as Gonzaga's coach.
Louisville won the Atlantic Coast Conference for the first time this season. The SEC has seven teams in the tournament, and the Pac-12 has six.
Stanford potentially is headed to Lexington for the third straight year if it can advance. Purdue, Rutgers, Southern Cal and West Virginia were the first four teams out.
Oklahoma got in with a 16-14 record the fewest wins for an at-large team since 2005 a day after the Oklahoma men got an at-large berth with an 18-13 record and losses in 11 of their final 15 games.
There were five teams trying to get into the bracket's top spots and in the end Baylor lost out.
