The Church of Scientology Is Launching its Own Television Network

12 March 2018

The Church of Scientology is about to start spreading its controversial message in a whole new way for the organization - through its own television channel.

A Twitter handle, website and app for Scientology TV appeared Sunday posting updates to hype the network's availability on DIRECTV, AppleTV, Roku, fireTV, Chromecast, iTunes and Google Play.

Japan PM, finance minister under fire over suspected cover-up of cronyism
Abe said he wants Aso and ministry officials to do all they can to report the results of their investigation early this week. A poll released Monday showed Abe's support had dropped to 48 percent, down six points from last month.

The Apple app store already has three customer reviews of the app, with one of them giving it a five-star rating praising the videos, despite the fact the videos are not yet available.

Rumors of a Scientology network gained ground in early 2017, after rumblings began about a lunch on the website of longtime Scientology chronicler Tony Ortega.

Sensex surges over 500 points; FMCG, auto stocks gain
MSCI's broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan firmed 0.4 percent soon after opening on Monday. Dow Jones surged 440 points to close at 25335.74 and S&P 500 rose 1.7 per cent to end the day at 2786.57.

The thought of a Scientology TV network has been in the works for some time now; the network was rumored about a year ago at first, and really seemed inevitable after the church launched its own studio with Scientology Media Productions. Over many decades, a range of high-profile actors, musicians and others in Hollywood have at times openly plugged their adherence to Scientology, which is used in turn as a recruitment tool. The church has bought 30-second ads during the Super Bowl.

With its Apple TV app live but its streaming feed not, the Scientology Network plans to also offer various on-demand programs.
