Republican candidate Rick Saccone will join "Cavuto Live" Saturday at 10:00am ET ahead of the critical U.S. House special election on Tuesday. Saccone could end up running in the newly drawn 14th district. It's all a sign of how concerned Republicans are about a potential loss that could give Republicans a demoralizing loss in a midterm election season already full of Democratic enthusiasm.
The seat opened up after Murphy resigned in October amid reports that he urged a woman with whom he had been having an extramarital affair to get an abortion.
A poll just this week showed Democrat Conor Lamb leading his Republican challenger Rick Saccone in the race by a very slim three-vote margin.
Similarly, the poll suggests a lopsided edge for Democratic enthusiasm: Though the district is fairly solidly Republican, 41 percent of those surveyed said they were Democratic and 40 percent identified as Republican. At the same time, he reminded them the race is still not over.
"We'll find out", Lamb said.
Lamb, a 33-year-old telegenic veteran of the Marine Corps is a stark contrast to the 60-year-old Saccone with a graying mustache. Angle has worked on successful campaigns in red states and districts across the country and said that Lamb's strategy can be replicated elsewhere.
Republicans say Democrats are benefiting from an "A+ candidate", whereas they have a lackluster option, who's struggled to raise money. The National Republican Congressional Committee, the House GOP political arm, has spent more than $3 million to try and keep Saccone afloat.
Both 18th District candidates expressed some support for the tariffs in a recent debate.
But as election day grows closer, the national GOP is increasingly pinning the blame on Saccone.
Democrats hope a Lamb victory or even strong showing - in such a pro-Trump region - could foreshadow possible success in the 2018 elections. He was not running any TV ads earlier in the week.

The stock is now showing downward return of -1.85% throughout last week and witnessed bullish return of 2.51% in one month period. Nine research analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and twenty-one have assigned a buy rating to the company's stock.
There's evidence to support Biden's assertion that Lamb can win. "That is a real local issue in the 18th".
The other major factor in this race is the role of labor unions. Murphy had been strongly against abortion during his time in Congress. In all, GOP party committees and outside groups have spent more than $9 million on Saccone's behalf, compared to about $1.2 million for Lamb.
"It's wonderful", Saccone said.
"The RNC is heavily focused on winning this race", Gorka said. "And if Lamb is able to win this race, it's partly gonna be because labor unions organized and turned their members out who voted overwhelmingly for him".
Biden appeared with Democrat Conor Lamb in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.

Consulate in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and is prohibiting all U.S. government employees from traveling to the popular resort town. USA citizens are warned not to travel to five Mexican states including Colima, Guerrero, Michoacán, Sinaloa, and Tamaulipas.
Although Lamb has tried to localize his campaign message and set himself apart from national Democrats, there's one high-profile politician whose support he's specifically enlisted - native Pennsylvanian Joe Biden, who came to the district this week to stump for him. "He reminds me of my son Beau", the former DE attorney general and rising Democratic star who died of brain cancer in 2015, Biden said.
"He believes in hard work, he believes in labor".
Lamb is walking a tightrope in a district where the president remains popular.
On Thursday, Trump imposed tariffs on all steel and aluminum imports, except from Canada and Mexico. Lamb is expected to run in the 17th district, which under the new map is more favorable for Democrats. "So I think it's long overdue", Lamb said then. Saccone has campaigned as a candidate who would carry out Trump's agenda, and quipped in a debate last month that his only area of disagreement with the president is which football team each supports.
"The president and his policies are popular in PA-18", said Alexander.
