Netflix Sets Premiere Date, Unveils First Teaser

The creators of the 2018 version of Lost in Space harken back to their source material by including "Danger, Will Robinson", the classic line from the original outing. According to a press release, Netflix gave NASA early access to the pilot episode, which was "transmitted 12 days ago to the International Space Station for astronauts to view during their leisure time".

In addition to the release date and teaser trailer, we can also provide eight images.

This includes the nefarious characters Dr. Smith (as played by Parker Posey) and Don West (as played by Ignacio Serricchio).

The original Lost in Space ran for 85 episodes on CBS and was rebooted in 1998 as a feature film starring Matt LeBlanc and William Hurt.

A modern reimagining of the '60s sci-fi series of the same name, "Lost in Space" stars Parker as engineer Maureen Robinson, Toby Stephens ("Black Sails") as expedition commander John Robinson, and Parker Posey ("The House of Yes") as Dr. Smith. While the original has been remembered for its bright colors, fantasy-inspired plots, and alliterative insults for robots, this new series looks like it'll take itself rather seriously.
