Samsung Galaxy S9 benchmarked ahead of launch, powered by Exynos 9810

The best benchmarks-mostly, PCMark-aren't bad. In the real world that 25 percent increase of performance may not be quite so high, but it should be close. The Snapdragon 845 will be the first to implement the Adreno 600 series GPU.

Notably, the new Adreno 630 GPU impresses the most, offering 30 per cent better graphics performance and 2.5 times faster display output with 30 per cent power reduction compared to Adreno 540. The chip is optimized for actual applications, as opposed to synthetic number-crunching. The chipset is yet to be compared to Samsung's latest Exynos 9810 chip so that will be interesting to see as well. This model is fueled by 1.79 GHz universal9810 octa-core processor which is nothing but the newly introduced Exynos 9810 SoC. They're both 10nm chipsets, but the 9810 uses four custom Samsung cores, four smaller ARM Cortex-A55 cores, and an ARM GPU, while the Snapdragon uses four ARM Cortex-A75 derivative cores, four A55 derivatives and a custom GPU.

It's worth mentioning here that benchmark results are not the ultimate yardstick to measure a device's performance.

Start with the X20 LTE modem.

Sunjuwan Attack: Sitharaman Meets J&K CM Mufti, Visits Injured Jawans In Jammu
He said 192 Pakistani soldiers have been killed in retaliation by Indian forces after Pakistan attacked Indian posts. Asked whether the government was sharing evidence with Pakistan, Sitharaman replied in the affirmative.

This partnership possibly means that smartphones in America will be using Qualcomm's Snapdragon X50 5G modem. The site does add, however, that this won't translate into a large performance difference between Apple's flagship and 845-powered phones. However, these tests have given smartphone fans a hint at what the Snapdragon 845 is capable of doing.

The Hexagon DSP and Spectra ISP, for instance, aren't heavily tested by benchmarks. One important test that can't be carried out with these benchmark results properly is the battery.

So What Do We Think?

Last week, Qualcomm invited me onsite to benchmark their latest Snapdragon 845 SoC and platform. Samsung has its new M3 products, there's fresh competition incoming from upstart device manufacturers like Huawei, and we won't really know how the Snapdragon 845 performs until we see it in shipping products.

GOP congressional candidate Paul Nehlen banned from Twitter for racist image
Nehlen is now running against US House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan for the congressional primaries in Wisconsin. According to HuffPost , Nehlen published a list of his critics on Twitter last month, claiming that majority were Jewish.

Apart from this, there are a lot of other giants who are also going to introduce their new high-end premium smartphones powered by this new Snapdragon 845 Chipset.

These benchmarks don't show connectivity, camera performance, battery life, audio and security, among other things. So there's a bit of an act of faith there.

Unlike with Apple, Qualcomm can't tightly tie its processor improvements to other smartphone features it's building, because Qualcomm doesn't build smartphones.
