PNB stock ended 10.39 per cent or 16.80 points down at Rs 144.80.
The 30-share barometer rose by 141.52 points, or 0.41percent, to close at 34,297.47.
The pan-European Stoxx Europe 600 index climbed 1.1 percent.

However, it slipped on profit-booking to touch a low of 34,028.68. Rajesh Exports fell 1.34 percent to a low of Rs 808.70 on BSE.
On a closing basis, the scrip of PNB closed at Rs 145.80, down by Rs 15.85 or 9.81 per cent from its previous close of Rs 161.65.
