British football's greatest attend Liam Miller's funeral

Liam's first soccer club Ballincollig FC provided the guard of honour as his coffin was taken from the Church for burial in the adjoining cemetery. Among tributes at his funeral Mass in rural Ireland, another message that stood out was that he was a sportsman with decency, humour, integrity and humility.

Fr Hickey added: "Liam fought his illness with the same resilience with which he played".

Mr Sheedy said Miller was one of those rare people who realised all of their dreams.
