Joseph Michael Lopez was arrested in connection with the death of Natalie Bollinger.
Lopez remains jailed. No bond has been set.
Bollinger was reported missing by her family on December 28 and found dead in unincorporated Adams County the next day.
ABC'S Denver7 reports that authorities indicated that after detaining Lopez, they interrogated him and he slowly began talking about what happened on the night Bollinger died.
Legal analyst and criminal defense attorney David Beller said it might not matter to the court whether or not Bollinger wanted someone to kill her. And did the suicidal thoughts that friends said Bollinger previously expressed play a role in her death?
U.S. lawmakers seek budget breakthrough on eve of shutdown deadline
Adding the budget caps deal , along with other possible items like disaster aid, could make the spending package more attractive. Even so, most everyone in Congress believed that the bill had enough votes to pass the House , even among Democrats .
Weeks before she vanished, Bollinger had been granted a restraining order against a 42-year-old man, an alleged stalker. He told the Daily Camera that police questioned him about her death.
The affidavit goes on to say that when Lopez went to her apartment on December 28, she told him that she wanted to be killed "on her knees ... executed from behind", the station reported.
Officers asked Lopez to come in for questioning, and he complied.
Lopez told detectives that "he was pretty sure that he knew what we were there for", and that "he was sure it had to do with the girl he talked to on Craigslist", according to the affidavit.
He described how Bollinger "knelt down on the ground and that he knelt down on the ground along her left side and slightly in front of her", according to affidavit. Authorities uncovered more than 100 text messages between the pair. He also said they discussed how he would be paid.
Everton vs. Crystal Palace live stream
Palace did grab a late consolation from the penalty spot through Luka Milivojevic as Ashley Williams was punished for a handball. Between Gylfi Sigurdsson , Wayne Rooney and newly added Theo Walcott , Everton should find the back of the net on Saturday.
Lawful examiner and criminal safeguard lawyer David Beller said it won't not make any difference to the court regardless of whether Bollinger needed somebody to execute her. She'd even brought her own gun, he said.
He said Lopez and Bollinger hadn't known each other that long.
Mr Lopez says they both knelt down and prayed, then he got up, closed his eyes and shot her. He took off with Bollinger's purse and the gun.
McIntosh was adamant at Friday's news conference that investigators may not have uncovered the true motive. He is under investigation for first-degree murder related to the death of 19-year-old Natalie Bollinger, Sheriff Michael McIntosh said during a briefing Friday afternoon.
