A Scandalous Move to Block Nunes Memo

11 February 2018

Republican members of Congress have said the Dem memo is deliberately loaded up with classified information to force Trump to make redactions so it looks like partisan censorship.

Swalwell's call for Nunes to step aside comes after Nunes and the Republican staff on the committee released a controversial memo, declassified by President Donald Trump, that alleges abuses of government surveillance powers at the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Justice Department.

"Although the President is inclined to declassify the February 5th Memorandum, because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive passages, he is unable to do so at this time", McGahn wrote.

"Refusal to release Democratic response to Nunes Memo - evidence of obstruction of justice by Donald Trump happening in real time", said Sen.

Republican Representative Trey Gowdy, a key member of the House Intelligence committee denied reports that the memo was involved in the Russian Federation investigation stating, "To the extent the memo deals with the dossier and the FISA process, the dossier has nothing to do with the meeting at Trump Tower".

The North and South are bitter enemies and are technically at war together, having never officially ended the 1952 Korean War. North Korea has a track record of dangling peace to wrangle concessions and aid from the West only to renege on its promises.

The FBI and Justice Department deny any wrongdoing, with the FBI saying it had "grave concerns" about the "accuracy" of the document.

Democrats on the House Intelligence Committee say the GOP memo is an attempt to mislead Americans about how the agencies obtained a warrant to wiretap Page. And the House Intelligence Committee voted unanimously Monday to do just that.

The FBI's interest in Page and his possible ties to Russia date back to 2013, when federal investigators were concerned that Page had been targeted by Russian intelligence agents for recruitment. It is said to indicate that the court was made aware of the political motivations behind the information provided by Steele, but that specific Democratic organizations were not identified. Despite cries that it discredited the Russia Investigation, some members of congress denied this, in fact some members of the very same body that released the memo think this way.

For the record, the Democratic memo is only ten pages long, and if that's too long for Trump to read then what else is he ignoring as President?

He described the Democratic memo as "not as clean as the first one", suggesting that the White House could release it with redactions.

Modi will then hold official talks with the Palestinian leadership and hold a joint press conference with Mahmoud Abbas. The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (Adia) and DP World, among others, have brought major investments to India.

Steele's reported ideological and financial motivations were not revealed to the court that granted the (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance) FISA warrant.

The Nunes memo accuses the Department of Justice of improperly using the Trump-Russia dossier in getting a warrant to investigate Carter Page, an American citizen.

Kaitlyn Schallhorn is a Reporter for Fox News. I don't know how you can make 10 pages much more brief but I guess if you take a note from the Nunes memo, making it three and a half pages full of nonsense is a great way to start.

The vote gives Mr. Trump five days to review the Democratic memo and determine whether he will try to block its release.

"Republicans who were so concerned about leaks of classified information during the past year are now pushing for the release of top secret information to the public, cherry-picked to undermine agencies for which they are meant to be stewards", they wrote.
