Samsung Galaxy Note 5 will get Android 8.0 Oreo update

10 February 2018

The original news appeared on T-Mobile's website where they have listed down the 2015's Galaxy devices which would receive this update of Android Oreo in the coming days.

That's why you might find it surprising that T-Mobile has published support pages that say that the carrier and Samsung have agreed to support Android Oreo for the Galaxy S6, S6 edge, S6 edge+, and Note5. Until today, we only had rumors pointing to possible Oreo updates for the Galaxy S6 and its variations, but no these reports haven't been confirmed by Samsung. As guaranteed by Samsung, beta analyzers are first in line, with normal clients on Nougat anticipated that would get the update in the following 24 hours.

The update weighs in at 2.81 GB and bundles EMUI 8.0 along with Android 8 Oreo.

Even so, if Samsung does roll-out the Android Oreo update to its 2015 flagship phones, it will be great news for owners of those devices. United States carrier had tipped this development on its official website.
