"While other sectors of the American economy have largely recovered from the Great Recession, rural America has lagged in nearly every indicator", says a new report from the Trump Administration.
"If we're able to do that, regardless of what strategies the president employs to get there - at the end of the day, if those three things happen, then the first person to benefit from that, in my view, is going to be the American farmer", the official added.

A desk was placed onstage so Trump could dramatically sign a pair of executive orders meant to expand broadband in rural areas. He said that farmers would be spared the "punishment" of the estate tax under the new law, a line from the speech that was met with a standing ovation.
"We are witnessing a new era of patriotism, prosperity, and pride-and at the forefront of this exciting new chapter is the great American farmer", he said.

The executive order will instruct the General Services Administration (GSA) to make sure it provides the necessary support to the Department of the Interior and Department of Energy as they look at infrastructure assets that can be made available to help improve broadband access in rural areas that are now underserved. With the voice of rural America leading the way, and in close collaboration with local, state, and tribal leaders, 22 federal agencies, offices, and executive departments accepted the challenge to make rural America great again. "We ditched the rule", he said, to the members of the organization which led the charge to "Ditch the Rule" when it came out in 2015.
