Take part: US places new sanctions on North Korea

A report in South Korean daily Chosun Ilbo alleged that American reconnaissance satellites had spotted around 30 cases of illegal oil trades by sea between China and North Korea since October.

New sanctions have been placed on two people within the North Korean government and that is according to the announcement made by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

"Treasury is targeting leaders of North Korea's ballistic missile programs, as part of our maximum pressure campaign to isolate the DPRK and achieve a fully denuclearized Korean Peninsula", Mnuchin said in a statement.
