Former Congressman Harold Ford Jr. Fired For Misconduct By Morgan Stanley

08 December 2017

Harold Ford Sr. said he was surprised by the news today and hadn't talked to his son.

Ford told The Huffington Post that, "False claims like this undermine the real silence breakers". She asked him not to contact her anymore, citing his inappropriate conduct the evening where he forcibly grabbed and harassed her. Ford replied to the email by apologizing and agreeing not to contact her.

The married father-of-two said he was now preparing to sue both the woman who made the accusation along with Morgan Stanley for improper termination.

The alleged incident also prompted Morgan Stanley to launch an internal investigation into the woman's claims.

I have to win to be invited so - no, actually I think every United States team member is invited. Vonn continued her criticism of the president, saying she wants to "represent our country well".

The woman alleging misconduct was not a Morgan Stanley employee.

The unnamed woman - who doesn't work at Morgan Stanley but had professional interactions with Ford - said she was forced to seek help from a building security guard.

Another person corroborated her account, telling The Huffington Post that they spoke with her after the incident. Ford continued to contact her after the encounter until she wrote an email asking him to cease contact.

She was left "distraught, shocked and frightened" by the incident, an acquaintance said.

Mr. Ford appears regularly on the MSNBC show "Morning Joe". Mark Halperin, another of the show's regular fixtures, was sacked amid accusations of sexual misconduct last month.

An attorney for Ford said in a statement that "Morgan Stanley has still not told Harold directly of his termination, and unlike every other circumstance I've been in the company has refused to provide me with a reason".
