The family rushed the boy to a nearby nursing home in Pitampura. However, Kumar has refused to take the body of his child, in an act of protest and demanded that the doctors of Max Hospital allegedly involved in the "medical negligence" in the case be arrested. Dr Sandeep Gupta, director of Delhi Newborn Centre where the baby boy died, said it was a "losing battle" from day one. While the girl was stillborn, the baby boy was declared dead later. Thinking both the children were dead, they handed their bodies in two separate plastic bags to the parents for burial.

"These two cases have been clubbed and we will take action accordingly", he informed.

The hospital has reportedly sacked the two doctors who mistakenly declared the baby dead. "I have been wronged".
