First look at Jessica Chastain in X-Men: Dark Phoenix

Arriving in theaters on November 2, 2018, X-Men: Dark Phoenix stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, Nicholas Hoult, Alexandra Shipp, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Evan Peters, Olivia Munn, and Jessica Chastain.

Dark Phoenix takes place in 1992, which is 10 years after the events of X-Men: Apocalypse and sees the X-Men as celebrities.

Entertainment Weekly released the cover of its December 15/22 "First Look Issue" Thursday, giving fans their first look at Turner in 20th Century Fox's upcoming mutant epic X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Writer/producer Simon Kinberg, a longtime staple of the X-Men franchise, steps into the director's chair for the first time on this film, revealing to EW that it was Jennifer Lawrence who most pushed him to make the jump to directing.

"It's about the butterfly effect of this thing happening", Turner adds.
