President Yoweri Museveni and his visiting Sudanese counterpart Omar Al Bashir have underscored the need to revitalize the Implementation of the Agreement on Resolution of conflict in South Sudan.
Sudan President Omar Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir is in Uganda for a two-day visit at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni.
President Museveni and President Bashir have continuously discussed the Economic Development and Peace Development and bilateral relations between their two countries, and ahead of this visit.

For years relations between Uganda and Sudan were icy, undermined by mutual suspicions over supporting rebel groups on each other's territory. Patrick Mugoya on the 5th of october and held various meetings, during which the two sides agreed on steps to implement the decisions taken by the 5th session of the Joint Ministerial Commission which was held in Khartoum. They noted the progress being made in cooperation between the two countries particularly in the sectors of trade and investment, transport, security and education.
As a signatory to the ICC treaty, Uganda has an obligation to arrest Omar al-Bashir, who has been indicted by the ICC for alleged war crimes and crimes against humanity in Sudan's Darfur region.
Bashir arrived at the Entebbe International airport at 11:00am, accompanied by other high-ranking officials from Sudan, and was received by the state minister for foreign affairs, Henry Okello Oryem, among other government officials.
