Strangers Are Throwing Money at Woman Who Gave Trump the Finger

A GoFundMe campaign to support Virginia resident Juli Briskman - who now famously flipped off the commander-in-chief's motorcade while biking - has raised more than $73,000 dollars as of Tuesday. "This week we learned that she was sacked from her employer for exercising her first amendment rights", he wrote on the page.

All the money raised goes directly to Briskman, he says on the site.

Days after her exit from her firm, government contractor Akima LCC, a crowdfunding page was set up to show support for the single mom.

The billionaire property developer's motorcade overtook the 50-year-old but she managed to eventually catch up and flip President Trump the bird for a second time. A White House photographer snapped a photo of the glorious gesture, and the photo quickly went viral.

"Juli Briskman is an inspiration to us all", wrote Rob Mello, who created the GoFundMe campaign that lists Briskman as a beneficiary.

Despite losing her job, Ms Briskman said she did not regret the incident, adding "I'd do it again", and has since made the photo her profile and background picture on social media. "So they were calling flipping him off 'obscene.'" she told HuffPost after getting the pink slip.

Briskman has thanked online donors, writing "Through your very generous donations, many of those heavy burdens have been lifted".
