Equity indices close lower on global cues, macro-data (Second Lead)

The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex closed 91.69 points lower at 32,941.87, while the National Stock Exchange Nifty50 fell 38.4 points to end at 10,186.6.

The NSE Nifty was up 11.25 points at 10,333 points.

The markets opened in the red on Tuesday before regaining the 33,000-mark for a brief period in intra-day trade, following which the indices plunged once again in the last hour to close on a negative note.
