At 3-year-old Sherin Mathews' home, police collected evidence this week, and they have searched their parents' vehicles, phones, and computers.
The Richardson police and Federal Bureau of Investigation sleuths are on an extensive search in Texas for a 3-year-old Indian girl who went missing on October 7 after her foster father allegedly asked her to stand outside the house late in the night as a punishment for not drinking milk.
Mathews told investigators that he went back to the tree 15 minutes later and realized Sherin was gone.
Mathews was charged with abandoning or endangering a child. An Amber Alert was issued and then later canceled due to lack of new information, for the girl, identified as Sherin Williams.

Hidalgo also introduced car-free days and zones as well as a 20-mph (32 kph) speed limit throughout the city. As a result, the city temporarily alternated between banning cars with even- and odd-numbered license plates.
Mathews, 37, told police he put Sherin in an alley near their house where coyotes previously had been spotted to punish her after she wouldn't drink her milk, according to an arrest warrant affidavit.
The search for a missing 3-year-old is still underway in Richardson, TX.
Her mother, Sini Mathews' lawyer Kent Starr, spent nearly two hours inside their home before speaking briefly to reporters, stressing the fact that there were no charges against Sini.
According to reports, the police have confiscated Wesley's passport and have made him wear an electronic ankle monitor to track his movements.
"Right now, we're going through all that", Perlich explained.
Tesla recalls 11000 Model X over faulty rear seats
Tesla says it has no reports of any injuries arising from the issue, and says it found the problem during internal testing. This can prevent the left seat from locking in an upright position and allow the seat to slide forward during a crash.
The investigators are baffled by the apparent delay in reporting the missing of the child. "As far as why she was out there, how long she was out there, that's the questions we have for the parents".
Perlich said Mathews and his wife adopted Sherin, who was malnourished when the couple took her in.
Williams is said to have developmental issues such as limited verbal communication skills. She is said to be around 3 feet tall and weighs 22 pounds. Mathews told investigators it wasn't unusual for the girl to wake up late at night to eat so that her weight would increase, Perlich said.
Meanwhile, members of Emmanuel Bible Chapel in Irving, where Sherin and her parents attended frequently, printed fliers with the girl's description and posted them in and around the Richland Meadows neighborhood over the weekend.
