The Department of Homeland Security is giving Missouri a grace period through January 22, 2018 as it reviews the state's request for another extension.
Only about half the states are compliant, and Pennsylvania will require more extensions to avoid residents being affected.
In the meantime, the state has been granted the grace period while the Department of Homeland Security decides whether to give Missouri another extension. The state's requests for longer extensions during which current licenses would be accepted by the federal government have not yet been granted.
