Samsung has not yet made any moves to commercialize the flexible OLED displays, however, which may be why Apple knocked on the doors of a different smartphone company: LG.
Apple has teamed up with LG to start work on an iPhone with a foldable screen. The company might introduce the tech giant into the production foray in the last few months, but as of right now, only the Cupertino manufacturer and LG Display are aware of what sort of design is expected.

In July, it was said that Apple is ready to infuse LG with $2.6 billion for a new OLED plant.
