Wenger Confident Ahead Of Chelsea's Clash

17 September 2017

Arsene Wenger insists Arsenal's players and fans have demonstrated their love for Alexis Sanchez- and has called on the player to repay their faith with more match-winning performances, starting at Chelsea.

With Alexis Sanchez scoring a controversial opener for Arsenal and Chelsea's Victor Moses sent off for diving, it was a bitter conclusion to an otherwise ideal first season in charge for Conte.

But they beat Antonio Conte's side in last season's FA Cup final before overcoming them again in the Community Shield in August.

Chelsea conceded three goals in less than 45 minutes at the Emirates Stadium last September, prompting Conte to switch to a 3-4-3 formation at half-time.

Arsenal are yet to pick up a point away from home this season and, in all honesty, are yet to display any sort of quality required to be triumphant in the most competitive and coveted division in the world. It's important not to think of the Liverpool game. If you remember the first goal was very odd, I am sure that this goal [should have been] disallowed instead. I am sure that this goal [would be] disallowed. We tried to change the game, then a red card, with 10 men we drew, but then we concede another goal.

Two FA Cup final goalscorers - Sanchez and Diego Costa - have been subject to speculation of departures but remain, for now.

West Indies Considered Walk-off in Rain Curtailed Game
Brathwaite, however, bowled Hales for 43 made off just 17 balls, including eight fours and a six. West Indies won the match by 21 runs . "It's the batting certainly", Morgan said.

Conte will be without Danny Drinkwater after the England midfielder, a deadline-day signing from Leicester City, was ruled out for several weeks with a calf muscle injury.

Conte said: "It's very hard to see him before the global break".

Chelsea are likely to rotate their options after making changes for the Qarabag contest, with playmaker Eden Hazard in contention to start for the Blues for the first time this season. He's very close to be totally fit.

That was a long time ago though, Arsene.

'And I think the team and especially the fans are always excited when it comes to Chelsea v Arsenal'. "Don't forget Alvaro is very young, I think he can improve a lot".

Arsenal have lost both of their opening two Premier League away games this season, at Stoke and Liverpool.

Vettel Beats Red Bulls To Singapore Grand Prix Pole Hamilton Fifth
The four-time champion was clearly ecstatic to snatch the pole after a hard start to qualifying which saw him down on pace. Spaniard Carlos Sainz, set to move to the works Renault team next year, rounded out the top 10 for Toro Rosso .

"I am happy he can score with his feet or his head, or with his chest or his back". The 21st anniversary of his appointment comes next month.

"I want to speak about Chelsea's situation, not Arsenal's".

"When we talk about it, we will be unlucky. They solve their problems, we solve our problems". Air conditioning systems can irritate his throat and he has been taking antibiotics since Thursday to try to address it.

However, he hopes to be able to bellow instructions to his players from the touchline as usual on Sunday. "It was all kind of speculations you know that we had to analyse and see how we can deal with the situation", he said.

Keen to avoid another damaging dismissal at Stamford Bridge this weekend, the Chelsea boss told his players to focus on keeping their emotions in check, while also placing the spotlight on referee Michael Oliver.

Conte opened his press conference with thoughts for those affected.
