South Carolina's Deebo Samuel Breaks Leg, Season Over

17 September 2017

Allen-Williams, a senior, has sat through three losses to the Wildcats and hopes to put an end to that run when SC (2-0, 1-0 Southeastern Conference ) squares off against Kentucky (2-0) on Saturday night.

The Gamecocks gained 54 rushing yards in their 23-13 loss to the Wildcats at Williams-Brice Stadium, with the longest rush coming from quarterback Jake Bentley when he gained 11 yards.

"Extremely disappointed", coach Will Muschamp said.

Two other men were able to rescue her two children who were screaming in fear, however the father of the children had been killed. A spokeswoman said: "We have 13 resources at the scene including the critical care team and the hazardous area response team".

"He's going to be part of everything we do", Bentley said after the game.

Well, it was a sellout crowd until late in the third quarter - when thousands of Gamecock fans dressed in black for this "blackout" game headed for the exits, frustrated with a new "gameday experience" that produced a familiar result. But Kentucky's defense did not allow the Gamecocks any more points after that. Samuel was on several awards lists, too.

"They whipped us up front", Muschamp said of Kentucky. Samuel also returned a kickoff for a score against Western Carolina last season, giving him three such TDs in the Gamecocks past five games. However, the Gamecocks weren't able to take advantage as they missed a 52 yard field goal, and had a pass intercepted by Mike Edwards. Bentley finished 24-for-35 for 304 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Cardinals are soft in the middle three, and Clemson's All-American DTs-Christian Wilkins and Dexter Lawrence-will dominate. Third-ranked Clemson plays at No. 14 Louisville on Saturday night, and Clemson coach Dabo Swinney calls Jackson "crazy good".

Following a breakout rushing performance from Ty'Son Williams in Week 2 over Missouri, the SC football team didn't have the same result against Kentucky on Saturday.

Offensive line movement: Junior college transfer Dennis Daley (6-foot-6, 330 pounds) made his first major college start, replacing Malik Young at left tackle. The win means Kentucky also keeps their win streak over SC alive, which is now at four games. The Gamecocks will be tasked with stopping Benny Snell and mobile quarterback Stephen Johnson, who will try to dictate the game.
