According to WIRED, the second data dump included a ransom note that claimed Mr. Smith was in possession of 1.5-terabyte worth of internal documents, employment and marketing papers, scripts, and episodes that bears the message: "HBO is falling". The message from HBO, dated July 27, features the network's offer to make a "bounty payment" of $250,000 as part of a program in which "white hat IT professionals" are rewarded for "bringing these types of things to our attention".

The hacker behind the cyberattack against USA television network Home Box Office (HBO) was allegedly offered a $250,000 (£192,827, €212,702) payoff disguised as a "bug bounty" reward, according to an email showing a conversation between the criminal and a senior technology executive.

As a precaution to stop further leaks, HBO reportedly offered to pay $250,000 to a group of hackers, a purported leaked email suggests.

It is unclear if the HBO email is authentic or if it has been doctored in any way.

The materials hacked also contained innumerable financial data of the company, employement agreements and marketing-startegy PDFs. The network said: "In the spirit of professional cooperation, we are asking you to extend your deadline for one week".

Obviously I'm still getting used to the English game, the positives and negatives, shall we say, but I'm learning. But Shinji Okazaki immediately responded with a nifty header to tie the game back up just three minutes later.
