Danny Welbeck pleased with Arsenal spirit in win over Leicester

ARSENE Wenger saw substitute Olivier Giroud score a late victor to see off Leicester before admitting he gave the striker a chance to leave the Emirates Stadium this summer.

"Obviously I knew that I was going to have a chance so we tried to push", Giroud said.

Arsenal staged a dramatic fightback to kick off the new Premier League season with a thrilling 4-3 victory against Leicester on Friday (Aug 11).
