NBA star Stephen Curry to play in first PGA Tour-sanctioned event

28 June 2017

Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co Ltd's premium brand Infiniti will announce a marketing agreement with USA basketball star Stephen Curry on Wednesday, according to a company statement seen by Reuters.

When he's not leading the Golden State Warriors on the hardwood, Stephen Curry enjoys competing in a different setting - on the golf course.

"Stephen Curry's drive to continue to set new benchmarks both on and off the court is an ideal parallel to the attributes of the INFINITI brand". Nissan will publicly announce the marketing deal on Wednesday. Just like INFINITI, he never stops pushing himself.

Ad group WPP is still working to resolve Petya attack
It is reported that the German independent email provider Posteo blocked an email address associated with the blackmail attempt. Once infected by the ransomware, the systems are locked and a demand of Dollars 300 in Bitcoins is made to recover the files.

Through a prepared statement, Curry said Infiniti was a brand he has known as well as admired due to its strong heritage of design, performance and cutting edge technologies.

"I'm honoured to have the opportunity to play with the pros in the upcoming Ellie Mae Classic, not only to be able to compete against some of the best golfers in the world, but to also help bring light to the tournament's charitable footprint of giving back to the Warriors Community Foundation", Curry said.

Melissa Bell, INFINITI Head of Global Marketing, added: "We are very excited to partner with Steph".

Social Media ROASTED Bill Belichick's Romantic Nantucket Magazine Photoshoot (TWEETS)
TMZ Sports captured film footage of Belichick and Holliday shooting some romantic-looking footage for Nantucket Magazine . While it's not a huge smile, catching a happy Belichick is nearly like spotting Big Foot out in the wild, so this is big.

The competition he has faced, however, is nothing compared to what he will be up against when he plays in the Web.com Tour's Ellie Mae Classic in August. He won the NBA MVP award in the 2015 and 2016 seasons, has been an All-Star four times and led the league in scoring in 2016.

Back in 2013, Andriy Shevchenko - victor of the 2004 Ballon d'Or - competed in the Kharkov Superior Cup on the Challenge Tour, as did former tennis professional Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
