Ed Sheeran divides opinion over use of backing tracks at Glastonbury

Radiohead's appearance marked 20 years since the band's heavily criticised 1997 show at the Somerset festival and the release of hit album OK Computer.

The Shape of You singer closed out the 2017 event with a hits-packed set on Glastonbury's main stage, and made a decision to stay true to his usual solo gigs by playing a one-man show.

Radiohead, who headlined the Pyramid Stage on Friday night, are now leading at Number 1 with a 20th anniversary reissue of their OK Computer album on today's Official Chart Update, one of three Radiohead albums back in the Top 100 midweek.

Musicians using a loop station, or a floor-based loop pedal, are able to layer up different musical elements to create a full-sounding track in order to play alone and without the aid of an actual backing track or band. Sing -a-long to a backing track is hardly live music.
