Donald Trump under investigation for possible obstruction of justice

The three officials the Post says Mueller is interviewing are Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, National Security Agency Director Mike Rogers and Richard Ledgett, the recently retired deputy NSA director. No longer is he merely focused on Moscow's efforts to interfere in the 2016 election, meaning Mueller appears also to be zeroing in on Trump's actions since taking office on January 20. Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller, a former FBI director, to handle the Russian Federation investigation.

Corallo didn't elaborate on why he singled out the Federal Bureau of Investigation as the source of information.

Several legal experts told Reuters that Mr Comey's testimony last week that Trump expected loyalty and told Comey he hoped he could drop an investigation of a former top aide could bolster obstruction of justice allegations against Mr Trump.

NSA spokeswoman Vanee Vines told NPR's Phil Ewing, "NSA will fully cooperate with the special counsel". He declined further comment.

He said the administration was trying to find a way to re-establish a working relationship, notably on Syria. US President Donald Trump has proposed cutting the State Department funding levels by 28.7 percent.

The news comes one day after Rosenstein affirmed his support for the special counsel, despite recent reports that Trump was weighing Mueller's dismissal.

"I know I was sacked because of something about the way I was conducting the Russian Federation investigation, was in some way putting pressure on him, in some way irritating him, and he chose to fire me because of that", Comey said in his June 8 testimony.

Mueller's requests to interview the officials signals that his investigation is expanding to include the possibility that Trump tried to obstruct justice, according to The Times. When asked about a letter he wrote recommending firing Comey, Rosenstein said that Mueller could be looking into the decision-making process for the firing - and he was therefore "not at liberty to talk about that now". Perhaps Trump will fire Mueller first, or maybe Trump will try and pardon himself, or he could just pull a Sarah Palin and just walk away from the job.

He's been building a team of investigators for a wide-ranging inquiry into Russia's meddling in the 2016 USA presidential campaign.

They're also facing a lawsuit from Alphabet, who claims that Uber stole some of the trade secrets behind their self-driving cars. Holder also suggests that Uber change its written cultural values to promote positive behavior, inclusion and collaboration.

The leaders of the Senate Intelligence committee said in a statement issued Wednesday that they "look forward to future engagements" with Robert Mueller.

First of all, last month, Entous and Nakashima reported that Trump had urged Coats and Rogers "to publicly deny the existence of any evidence" of collusion between his team and Russian Federation - but Coats and Rogers refused to do it.

The Times report corroborates a separate bombshell Washington Post article, published Wednesday, that said in addition to possible obstruction, investigators are also "looking for any evidence of possible financial crimes among Trump associates".

Trump said when he dismissed Comey on May 9 that the reason was the former FBI chief's handling of the investigation into Democrat Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server.

The New York Times reports that Mr Trump has considered firing Mr Mueller in recent days but has been talked out of it by aides. Ledgett wrote an internal memo about Trump's phone call to Rogers, officials told the Post .
